An Old Proverb and Appreciation
East or West, home is best
Sometimes, it’s useful to simply look around you and appreciate home - as nice as a picture on a Dubai beach may seem…
The quote above is an old proverb I heard again today after a while, and a natural question that popped was “why?” Why is home the best, what gives home that unique comfort and the sense of happiness to be there, no matter what you call home? It all comes down to appreciation.
As we go through our day to day lives, we can view the same things very differently, some may wish for the latest phone, others may smile at the thought that they aren’t on the streets in a little red box. This goes for anything, look at what you have and cherish it, however small, don’t look down upon it. Now, I’m not saying to have low aspirations, but don’t be stuck in a fantasy of desires, discontent with what you have.
Look around “home” and now imagine yourself without the things you need on a daily basis, and be happy and appreciate that they’re there. Congratulations you’re now that little bit more content, and you know that your home is the best for you!Odd
